Short and long term Persian courses are available for all international applicants.
The aim of these courses is to teach the correct Persian to elementary, intermediate and advanced international students so that they have the skills to speak, read and write competently in a short time. Students learn to speak and understand both formal and conversational Persian. Although the teaching method is not based on grammar, after the completion of these lessons students will have learned many proverbs and idioms used in the language. Reading materials and conversations on different topics are organized in such a way that students will learn about Iranian history as well as many traditions.
Persian Beginners Course
Participation Mode : Part Time
Fees: the course fee is per 12-week period.
The aim of this course is to provide a comprehensive introduction to contemporary Persian. By the end of the course, students will have covered the basic grammatical structures and have acquired a basic vocabulary of work that allows students to communicate in a limited range of situations where they can find themselves. Language is presented along with the cultural context in which it is used, so students can appreciate things like relevance and linguistic etiquette when interaction occurs in the target language.
Method
The course is taught in English and Persian, with a balance between four skills such as speaking, listening, reading and writing, and communicative activities, building practice and grammar. Class size is normally limited to fifteen for intensive practice.
Persian Intermediate Course
Participation Mode : Part Time
Fees : The course fee is per 12-week period.
The course aims to solidify the foundation of Persian grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation in the first year; covering more complex structures and vocabulary; emphasis on verbal communication and listening and reading comprehension.
Method
The course is taught in English and Persian and includes the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, and the balance between communicative activities, building practice and grammar. Class size is normally limited to fifteen for intensive practice.
